Edlink's integration with ManageBac provides a seamless way to securely sync and manage data from ManageBac to be accessed via Edlink's API.
Single Sign-On (SSO)
Edlink does not support SSO with managebac at this time, but Edlink can facilitate SSO via a secondary source with matching email addresses.
Rostering
Edlink can sync core rostering data from ManageBac, dependent on the data being available in the ManageBac instance and the permissions granted to Edlink.
Extended Rostering
Most extended rostering models like Attendance or Fees are not currently available for ManageBac, but will be available in a future release.
However, some models like Incidents are already available.

Coursework and Grade Management
The integration mostly supports coursework and grading functionalities. Assignments, submissions, and grades can be synced and managed directly within Edlink, maintaining alignment with ManageBac's grading system.
Enrichment with ManageBac
ManageBac can be configured as either a primary or secondary data source:
- Primary Source: Use ManageBac as the main source for rostering, assignments, and grading when it serves as the central system for classroom management.
- Secondary Source: ManageBac can supplement data from other systems (e.g., SIS), enriching classroom and assignment information by filling in gaps that may exist in the Primary Source platform. In this configuration, it's important to note that while ManageBac can supplement data, assignments and grades are governed by the primary source and cannot be adjusted through ManageBac.
Primary vs. Secondary Configuration
- Primary Configuration: ManageBac should be the primary source if the objective is to manage coursework and evaluate grades directly within ManageBac.
- Secondary Configuration: Configure ManageBac as a secondary source when other systems contain more comprehensive data, and ManageBac's role is limited to supplementary information.
