Integrating App with Classlink

Get Started

To integrate with ClassLink via Edlink, follow these steps:

  1. Create a ClassLink Partner Portal Account
A company representative must set up the account.
Note: ClassLink will only approve accounts if the representative’s email domain matches the company’s website.
  2. Verify Key Representatives
Ensure a decision-maker (e.g., founder, director, VP) is added and verified on the ClassLink Partner Portal ‘Users’ page and complete the Contacts section.
  3. Add Edlink Representative
Once the account is approved, the company administrator should add the Edlink representative to the Partner Portal.
  4. Verify the Company Domain
Add and verify the company domain used in the Edlink redirect URL (e.g., app.gameplan.com) via self-service methods.
  5. Add the ed.link Domain
Any admin can add the ed.link domain to the ClassLink Partner Portal account.
  6. Verify the ed.link Domain
The ClassLink Partner Relationship Manager (PRM) will verify the ed.link domain with approval from the company contact.

⚠ To request domain verification, the company admin must email their ClassLink Partner Relationship Manager or contact partner@classlink.com, and CC the Edlink Client Success Manager or other support contact.

❓ Not sure who your PRM is? Email partners@classlink.com

To configure OAuth2/OpenID in the ClassLink Partner Portal, follow these steps:

  1. Verify the ed.link Domain
Ensure the ed.link domain is verified. (Refer to earlier steps.)
  2. Add a New Connection
Set up a new OAuth2 or OpenID connection in the Partner Portal.
  3. Generate URIs
Create and save the Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) for both the testing and production environments.
  4. Add the App
Either add the app to the Edlink ClassLink dev tenant yourself or reach out to your assigned relationship manager to add the app for test account users in Tenant 2284.
Test account details were sent to the company admin when the Partner Portal was approved.
  5. Test the Integration
Verify that the SSO app works correctly on the ClassLink LaunchPad.
  6. Request Certification
Once your application is live and ready for ClassLink certification, click the Request Certification button in the Partner Portal.
Only production applications will be certified.

Ready to roster with ClassLink? Follow these steps:

  1. Add a Roster Connection
Set up a roster connection in the ClassLink Partner Portal.
  2. Configure in the Dev Tenant
Either add the rostering connection to the Edlink ClassLink dev tenant or contact your PRM to request sample rostering data from Tenant 2284.
  3. Provision Accounts
If using the ClassLink test district, the company administrator must provision accounts using the sample data provided by the PRM.
  4. Test the Integration
Ensure the SSO app on the ClassLink LaunchPad correctly assigns test users to their accounts and pulls data from the Roster Server.
  5. Request Certification
When your application is live and ready for certification, click the ‘Request Certification’ button in the ClassLink Partner Portal.
Only production applications will be certified.
