Edlink makes it easy to connect to PowerSchool and sync data between PowerSchool and other systems by providing an Edlink plugin for PowerSchool. This document outlines the functionality supported by Edlink for PowerSchool.
Rostering
Edlink synchronizes core rostering data from PowerSchool, including schools, people (teachers & students), classes, and enrollments. By default, for staff members, we merge users. We also sync guardians from PowerSchool and remove graduated and inactive students, inactive staff, classes without enrollments, and courses without enrollments from PowerSchool. These options are configurable depending on the needs of the school district.
Extended Rostering
For more complex use cases, Edlink supports extended rostering, which includes data models like attendance, rooms, and departments, assets, attendance, days, departments, facilities, fees, incidents, meetings, periods, and rooms.
Managing Coursework and Grades
Edlink enables developers to list and create assignments, categories, and grades in PowerSchool.
Special Features
- Realtime Attendance Sync: We have the ability to sync PowerSchool attendance data every 15 minutes, which essentially provides near real-time attendance data for students in the classroom.
