Common Issues & Resolutions
Addressing common OIDC issues early can help ensure a smooth integration and prevent disruptions for people attempting to access connected platforms.
Mismatched Emails/Usernames
- Issue: Person not found.
- Potential Resolution: Confirm that the email in the primary source exactly matches the identifier in the OIDC provider.
Login Failures
- Issue: Authentication fails during login.
- Potential Resolution: Verify that the OIDC provider setup (e.g., client ID, secret, redirect URI) is configured correctly within Edlink.
- Potential Resolution: Verify the configuration in the OIDC provider to ensure it is set up correctly.
Unsupported Provider
- Issue: The OIDC provider does not follow OpenID Connect standards.
- Potential Resolution: Switch to a provider that adheres to OIDC standards.
