For Companies & Schools

Getting Started

The Getting Started Guide is a great place to start if you're new to Edlink. If you are a developer looking to get started with the Edlink API, check out the API Quickstart instead.

Welcome to the Edlink Getting Started Guide. This area of the documentation is designed for both companies and schools to get an understanding of How Edlink Works and how to get started with the platform.

The Edlink Integration Platform helps edtech developers build and manage integrations to the LMS, SIS, and identity systems schools already use. Instead of building and maintaining a separate integration for every platform, developers integrate once with our Unified API and gain access to a wide range of data providers through a consistent data model and set of endpoints.

In addition to the Unified API, Edlink also provides additional tools for developers to ship secure, compliant, and high-quality integrations to schools. In particular, be sure to check out our Audit Logs, Public Data Initiative, and Data Privacy Platform, which are designed to help you understand the data that is being shared with your school and to help you ensure that your integration is compliant with data privacy laws.

Given Edlink's position in the edtech ecosystem, we've pretty much seen it all when it comes to data security and privacy. We've built a platform that is designed to be secure by default and compliant with data privacy laws. We abide by strict privacy and security policies. And now we want to help other organizations - both companies and institutions - do the same.

Our tools and products related to data security and privacy are designed to help you on your journey. We're not going to tell you what to do, but we're going to give you the tools and information you need to make informed decisions. We've also taken a long look at the ecosystem as a whole, and we've decided to focus on the following areas, which we believe have the best effort-to-impact ratio. Areas where the most egregious violations are happening and where the most impactful changes (and often, easiest to implement) can be made.

For Partners

Even if you don't sell digital products to schools directly, you may still want to Partner With Edlink. We're always looking for partners to help us expand our reach and provide more value to our clients. The Partner With Edlink document will walk you through the types of partners we're looking for, the process of becoming a partner, and what you can expect from the relationship.
