Assign Product Licenses
This guide will walk you through assigning licenses to products you have created in Edlink. These licenses can be assigned to users, classes, and schools. They also cascade to the children of the entity. You will do this by creating rules that are a set of conditions which an entity must pass all of in order to be assigned a license and/or stay in the dataset. You can create as many rules as you like. Each rule can be assigned to one or more products.
Sharing a Product
To share a product with a school district, navigate to their Integration with your edtech product in the Edlink Dashboard. Then, click on Product Licensing in the left column of the dashboard.

Licensing Rules
Once you have shared a product, select Licensing Rules, then click Create a Rule. You will see options to License By Class, License By School, and License By Person. Select your preferred method:
License By Class
This rule will license selected classes along with the courses, sessions, teachers, and students associated with those classes.
License By School
This rule will license selected schools, along with all of the people, classes, courses, and sessions associated with those schools.
License By Person
This rule will license individual people and, optionally, their associated classes. It will not license other people in those classes.

You will then be presented with a screen where you can add products to the rule that licenses will be assigned for. To add a product to the rule, click the Add Product button and select the product you wish to add from the dropdown. You can add as many products as you like to a rule.

Next, add a condition by clicking one of the options at the bottom (e.g., Class, Teacher, School, etc.), then search for the desired item in the search box.

Allow District to Modify Licensing
You will notice a checkbox labeled Allow District to Modify Licensing Rules. This option is off by default. When enabled, it allows the district to create new licensing rules for your product. However, it does not allow them to modify any rules created by the developer.
