Frontend Javascript Widgets

Building great user interfaces can be just as hard as building the technical infrastructure behind them. We've learned that despite our data model and API endpoints looking pretty simple on the surface, it can be a fair bit of work for our clients to fully implement the functionality that they are looking for.

That's why I'm excited to announce the launch of the Edlink Javascript Widget library. This library will become a collection of frontend UI components to make improve the speed of implementation and let developers focus on their core product experience.

Today, we're releasing the first two widgets:

  • The SSO Widget provides an incredible simple experience for users returning to your platform.
  • The Assignments Widget makes it easy for developers to add Edlink's full range of assignment functionality to their application.

API Updates

  • Fixed some issues with dangling enrollments and agents causing materializations to fail.
  • Fixed an issue with listing and fetching submissions in Schoology (both API V1 and V2).
  • Fixed an issue with LTI assignment listing calls caused by our release of opt-in custom properties.
  • Fixed an issue with creating overrides that modified a person's demographics data.
  • Fixed an issue with our Clever sync to continue syncing districts when v2.1 is entirely disabled.

Dashboard Updates

  • Fixed an issue with the NOT IN operator when creating sharing rules for an integration.
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing developers from deleting a transformation via the UI.
