Network Firewall evaluation mode and LMS/SIS updates
Over the past week we've shipped Network Firewall evaluation mode, broader Public Data coverage, and LMS/SIS sync improvements.
API Updates
- Sources: CSV sources can be created before a file is uploaded; invalid file URLs return 400.
- Errors: Sync, materialization, and enrichment responses no longer expose internal stack traces.
- SSO: Google SSO with a missing
statereturns 401. Integration login for CSV/SFTP sources with Edlink passwords preserves OIDC parameters (response_type,scope, and related fields) through the password form. See Special SSO Routes. - Blackboard: LTI 1.3 launches ignore unsubstituted course custom parameters. Submission file attachments are available on the User API attempt payload.
- Team invitations: Invitation emails use the invitee's email address correctly.
Dashboard Updates
- Network Firewall: Policies support an Evaluation Mode of Disabled, Monitoring, or Enforcing so you can stage rules before they deny traffic. See Network Firewall.
- Login: Google sign-in handles
mfa_requiredandlogin_requiredresponses more reliably.
Pipeline Updates
- Bromcom: Student tutor-group associations create enrollments alongside class associations. Staff collection roles and timetable assignments are ingested when available. See Bromcom details.
- Aeries: Schools ingest phone numbers. Optional property permissions expose principal name, school website, and whether a class or enrollment is an Actual Course association.
- OneRoster: Optional permission to expose person
roles(roleType, role, andorg) for OneRoster 1.2 multi-org role associations. - Infinite Campus: Dual-enrollment students accumulate every distinct active-year school on
school_external_ids. Transcript grades attached to enrollments match more reliably when multiple transcript rows share a section. - Canvas: Optional setting to identify cross-linked sections (uses the REST API path when enabled).
Public Data
- Expanded institution coverage: ROR higher-education organizations worldwide, plus national datasets for Canada (ODEF), Brazil (INEP Censo Escolar), France (MESR), and Mexico (SIGED/CCT). See Public Data coverage.
