What Is SchoolDay? (Formerly GG4L)
What is SchoolDay?
SchoolDay provides a unified solution for data integration, rostering, single sign-on (SSO), privacy governance, and vendor onboarding. It's used by thousands of schools and edtech vendors to streamline operations, reduce integration time, and enhance security.
What Did "GG4L" Stand For?
GG4L stood for Global Grid for Learning. The organization originally aimed to build partnerships between schools and edtech providers to solve integration and privacy challenges. Its legacy products included GG4L Connect, School Passport, Compass, and Catalyst—many of which evolved into SchoolDay's current offerings.
What Does SchoolDay Offer?
SchoolDay includes two main parts that work together to help schools manage digital tools and data more:
AppStore
The AppStore allows schools to select and install apps for a variety of purposes, such as monitoring student progress, organizing reports, communicating with parents, and more.
Connect
Connect is a hub that links SchoolDay to other systems like LMS providers and learning platforms. It lets schools share data between tools, which helps cut down on the manual work of school data processing to keep things updated.
Why SchoolDay Matters
SchoolDay aims to help:
- Schools reduce the time and effort required to onboard new apps and manage data privacy.
- Vendors speed up integration with school systems while minimizing PII shared.
The platform supports standards-based integration across K12.
Quick FAQs
