About Reading Horizons:
Reading Horizons is on a mission to make reading accessible for every learner. With a proven methodology grounded in the science of reading, they provide educators with tools to deliver effective, structured literacy instruction for emerging, struggling, and special education readers. Their solutions empower teachers and support students across K–12 schools, districts, and intervention programs nationwide.
About the relationship:
Both companies first connected at a 2022 conference, where Edlink’s Amanda Goodson and Reading Horizons’ Kiana Porter-Isom met. While the relationship started off there, it gained traction three years later in 2025 when Ryan Burwell, Director of Product Experiences at Reading Horizons, reached out to Amanda to get help with integrations.
At the time, Reading Horizons was exploring ways to streamline SIS integrations, improve single sign-on, and simplify onboarding for schools and districts. They highlighted several challenges, including managing intervention and special education data through manual CSV uploads, which, at no fault of Reading Horizons, were often error-prone and inefficient. Additionally, Reading Horizons faced difficulties with ingesting entire school or district datasets when only a small group of users actually needed access to their platform.
During those early conversations, Reading Horizons also asked about how Edlink compares to Clever. What we shared with Reading Horizons is, among other things, Edlink isn’t something schools must “adopt”. In fact, many edtech companies use Edlink to roster from Clever or directly from the school’s SIS or LMS, depending on what fits the situation best.
With one integration to Edlink, Reading Horizons now connects to 25+ LMS, SIS, and IDM providers, supporting SSO and rostering at scale while staying in control of what data gets shared through flexible filters and rules. Edlink helps Reading Horizons by easily onboarding more schools at scale through a self-guided, out-of-the-box onboarding flow - taking about 5 minutes for IT admins to go through. With Edlink as their integration partner, Reading Horizons can scale without tying up internal development resources.
About Edlink:

We’re trusted to exchange sensitive data securely by edtech companies, school IT administrators, and district leaders in over 5,000 educational institutions, and growing.
