About the relationship:
When Charanga’s Paul Fletcher received Edlink’s Miguel Doñes’s cold and tailored email, Paul’s interest was piqued. Could Edlink have a way to enhance Charanga’s user experience for educators and students? At that time, Charanga’s platform only supported CSV uploads – making educators create and send a list of students to Charanga. Then the Charanga team would manually create accounts, making the process rough and lengthy. So to understand how an integration partner like Edlink works, Paul met with Edlink’s Nick La Riza.
When the two parties met, Paul dove into Charanga’s situation. Ideally, Charanga would integrate with a learning institution’s Clever, ClassLink, Google Classroom, Canvas, or other LMS, SIS, and IAM systems. These integrations would let Charanga’s users SSO and roster, eliminating manual tasks. Charanga’s integration solution would have to allow licensing flexibility, so those who need platform access could. At the same time, the solution needed to be cost-effective and inexpensive in the long run. After their conversations, it was clear Edlink would become Charanga’s integration partner.
By building one integration to Edlink, Charanga can connect to dozens of the top LMS, SIS, and IAM providers (like Clever, ClassLink, Google Classroom, and Canvas) for features like SSO and rostering. Through the Edlink Dashboard, the Charanga folks can set Product Licensing rules – letting Charanga scope access to the right users within a learning institution. And since Edlink isn’t another tool for learning institutions to adopt, Charanga can stay front and center using the Edlink IT Admin Onboarding Flow (an out-of-the-box, self-directed onboarding flow to connect learning institutions). Now with Edlink’s integration support, Charanga is ready to cut ties with CSV uploading – saving money and leaping ahead on its product roadmap.
