About the relationship:

BoodleBox and Edlink first connected when Mike Alonzo, Chief Product Officer at BoodleBox, responded to a conversation sparked by Edlink’s Jimmy Louise surrounding BoodleBox’s integration roadmap. As BoodleBox's adoption accelerated across higher education institutions, the team recognized an opportunity to enhance their platform's connectivity through strategic partnerships.

Learning institutions were increasingly requesting LMS integrations and single sign-on (SSO) capabilities, but the BoodleBox team didn’t want to spend their limited engineering resources building custom integrations with multiple platforms. Having dealt with poor API documentation and support in the past, they were understandably cautious about developing these solutions in-house. Additionally, since educational institutions often lack visibility into technology adoption rates, BoodleBox needed a cost-effective, scalable integration solution that could adapt to varying implementation needs.

That’s when Edlink came into focus. By building one integration to Edlink’s Unified API, BoodleBox could connect to 30+ LMS, SIS, and IDM providers like Canvas, Brightspace, and Moodle. Through Edlink, BoodleBox gains the ability to:

  • Manage SSO and roster data while syncing key course information, such as syllabi
  • Set sharing rules to grant or limit access across several types of learning institutions
  • Control all integrations within a single dashboard
