About Stock-Trak:
Out of disappointment with the lack of real-world trading experience in college investment classes, Stock-Trak was created. It began as the first virtual trading application designed exclusively for college investment classes in 1990. Initially focused on simulating portfolio management of stocks, options, futures, bonds, and mutual funds, Stock-Trak’s product line has since expanded to include budgeting simulations, curriculum, and certifications.
About the relationship:
Stock-Trak was preparing for its next integration sprint, planning to build Clever and Classlink integrations in-house. Stock-Trak’s Kevin Smith received a cold (but tailored!) email from Edlink’s Miguel Doñes, sparking his interest. Kevin set up a meeting with Edlink’s Nick La Riza to learn more. Kevin explained that until now, educators created login credentials and set up classes on Stock-Trak’s platform, inviting students to create their accounts. However, as demand for more integrations grew, Stock-Trak realized their small team couldn’t keep up.
Edlink’s Unified API could help Stock-Trak connect to dozens of popular LMS, SIS, and IAM providers (like Google Classroom, Infinite Campus, and Clever). This integration supports single sign-on, rostering, content sync, and grade passback. With Edlink as their integration partner, Stock-Trak can scale integrations while saving thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours not building integrations.
"We had already built stand-alone integrations for Clever based on the LTI standard, which fell apart when attempting to port over to Schoology. We partnered with Edlink to simplify the integration across LMS platforms, so we could focus on what we do best, and let Edlink work on the external integrations."
- Kevin Smith, Director of Product Development at Stock-Trak
