How Edlink Receives Info from Clever on our client’s behalf

As an edtech developer, you may be curious to see how Edlink receives the information we need on your behalf from Clever. To make this happen, there is a process that clients must follow to get the ball rolling. Here's how to do it :

1. Sign up for a Clever developer account.


2.  Add your Edlink CSM to your developer team.
When adding your Edlink CSM, format their email like this:
csmname+edtechappname@ed.link.This should look something like (justis+learningiscool@ed.link). You must use that exact format for this to work.


3. Now you need to put your Client ID and Client Secret into Edlink. To do this, go to settings > API credentials under the ‘general’ tab. This is where you’ll find the Client ID and Client Secret. You’ll need to copy and paste both the secret and the ID into the Edlink dashboard located under applications > providers > then scroll down to Clever configuration.

As a reminder, your organization will need to maintain a separate agreement with Clever. You're finished and now all you have to do is wait for your Edlink CSM to complete the rest of the process.
