Are you a school admin that needs to connect your school's LMS to a learning app? Here's how to get started.

Please note: Integrating Classlink or Clever with a learning app? You won't follow the steps outlined in this article. Please see our Classlink and Clever guides for more info.

Step 1

Check if the app is one of Edlink’s partner apps. You can do this by reaching out to a representative of the app and checking that they work with Edlink.

Step 2

The learning app should have sent you an integration link that looks like this: https://ed.link/integrate/abc456789-efg456-123456

If you don't have the link, let us know by reaching out to support@ed.link, and we'll help you get it.

Step 3

Once you click the link, follow the instructions. For help while you do this, here are our guides to connecting with Edlink. You'll find step-by-step overviews for each learning management system, including:

We also support integrations with various SIS’s, including:

  • PowerSchool
  • Blackbaud
  • Skyward
  • Illuminate Education
  • Infinite Campus
  • Follett Aspen
  • OneRoster-compliant data sources

Step 4

When the process is complete, you can check out your Edlink Dashboard.

It'll take up to 24 hours for your school or district's information to appear in the dashboard and your app.

You likely won't be able to log into the app right after connecting. Once your school's info appear in the dashboard, you should be able to log in.

Step 5 (Optional)

Edlink allows school administrators to connect both an LMS and an SIS to an Edlink-connected application. Edlink then combines the integrated functionalities of your LMS with the complete rostering data of your SIS. This is called Data Enrichment. Use the Edlink dashboard to connect and combine both sources.

Please visit this article for more information about why schools and EdTech applications may want to use Edlink's Data Enrichment feature.
Please visit this article for information about how to use Edlink's Data Enrichment feature.

Step 6 (Optional)

You have the option to set sharing rules in the dashboard. These give you the ability to select the classes you'd like to share with your app.

To set sharing rules, click the Sharing tab and then select Share by Rules.

Towards the right-hand side of the screen, click “Create a Rule.” This is where you'll pick out which data you'd like to share. Once you have filled out the pop-up form, click “Apply Sharing Rule.”

Step 7 (Optional)

If you use Canvas or Schoology, you can add the application you connected to as an LTI app.

Check out these articles on how to set up an LTI app:
