Hey EdTech Developer! Want to pause your integration's data sync? Here's how.

Syncing allows Edlink to capture any changes made in the school's LMS. Edlink then updates those changes in the dashboard, which you then sync to your app.

Why is syncing important?

Syncing is important, because if data is out of sync, Edlink will not able to identify new users, courses, and any other updated information created in the data source. This means that a new will not be able to log in until Edlink syncs their information.

Why would I want to pause my integration's data sync?

While syncing is important, sometimes it makes sense for edtech developers to pause an integration's daily data syncs.

This might be because your app doesn't need updated data during the summer months.

Or, because the school district is making changes to their rosters and you don't want those changes to be reflected in your app just yet.

In these cases, you can pause the integration's data sync. To do this, go to your Edlink dashboard and click on the integration.

Once there, click on the Active on the top right-hand side of the page.

You'll see a pop-up menu. Select Paused in order to pause the data sync on the integration.

From this point forward, roster data for the integration will not be updated via syncing.

Whenever you're ready, you can switch the integration back to Active to resume syncing.
