About Goodheart-Wilcox:

The Goodheart-Wilcox (G-W) mission is, "Together, We Build Careers". G-W helps teachers to prepare students for the workforce with easy‑to‑use resources that develop core knowledge and build key skills. They help educate students to develop healthy behaviors that extend into adulthood and collaborate with outstanding authors, trustworthy reviewers, and industry‑focused trade associations to provide quality, standards‑based content with effective pedagogy.

EvoText’s product, Content to Classroom (C2C), is a modular, Platform-as-a-Service to build, manage and deliver curriculum. Through C2C, EvoText brings decades of education and engineering experience to K12 Publishers looking to manage their digital content better and turn it into engaging learning experiences for students.

EvoText’s and Edlink’s relationship started in 2020, Edlink’s founding year. The partnership pairs the C2C curriculum tools with the integration and data management capability of Edlink. In doing so, EvoText and Edlink are trusted to work together to support companies like:

  • Axiom
  • Gallopade
  • Great Books
  • Simple Solutions
  • Sirius
  • and now, G-W

About the relationship:

G-W had built their own LTI integration in the past but a Schoology integration presented a unique challenge for them. They expected that the way Schoology supported LTI would be substantially similar to the LTI integrations they’d built in the past, but found out that each LMS implements LTI differently. Not to mention, configuring the connection for each learning institution is laborious. Plus, with only LTI integrations, G-W couldn't support integrations with API-only LMSs (like Google Classroom). Recognizing they needed help, the G-W team searched for a solution. They asked their platform provider, EvoText, for support.

Chris Roberts from EvoText knew that Edlink could help. EvoText and Edlink had already built trust, supporting a joint list of companies (some listed above). So, Chris introduced G-W's Kevin Lessmann and Julia Seliga to Edlink’s co-founder, Amanda Goodson.

After some conversation with Edlink, the G-W team realized they could use the C2C platform to connect dozens of systems: LMS, SIS, and IDMs, like Schoology (+ more). The team could then leverage LTI and API connections, expanding the number of school data systems G-W can integrate with. G-W can offer learning institutions single sign-on (SSO) and rostering with a simple 5-minute IT administrator onboarding flow. With Edlink as an integration partner, G-W can:

  • provide seamless experiences to users,
  • reach more learning institutions than ever before, and
  • save thousands of dollars in developer time.

Edlink is the fastest and easiest way to integrate your learning platform with school data systems. Working with Edlink's Unified API saves development teams headaches, gets operational teams to-market faster, and helps sales teams win more deals.

Edlink currently supports 75+ edtech companies and is currently working behind the scenes to help over 30 million people use their edtech products seamlessly with their school’s LMS, SIS, and identity management platform (like Clever, or ClassLink). We’re trusted to exchange sensitive data securely by edtech companies, school IT administrators, and district leaders in over 2,500 educational institutions, and growing.
